A deep tread under a classic loafer front
The front is a proper penny loafer - a saddle band laid across the apron with a slot cut through the middle of it - and the shoe steps straight on with nothing to fasten. What changes it is underneath: a thick lugged sole on a low block heel, edged with a cream welt stitch that runs the whole way round. The toe is left round and roomy.
